J Bay Pics
Lived very well on a frugal budget... a jar of chilli and a jar of garlic powder are like magic beans! With mussels from the beach we were really set!

AFRICA!!!
I LOVE Africa!Ahh-freeka. It is real, raw, alive and it is complicated. My heart and mind both get a work out here. I havent blogged yet because I just dont know how to sum it all up other than to say there is no continent like it... (but that is obvious).
We have experienced warm African hospitality, lost ourlseves in true wilderness, been introduced to difficult conservation and cultural challenges and shared in music and dance that touches your soul and allows your spirit to soar (including blasting our gentle mokoro polers with a unique version of 'Lion sleeps tonight' and Shakira's 'Waka Waka' in the Okavango Delta- eek). We've met and learnt about incredibly inspiring people who's drive and perseverence for justice and the right to either theirs, others, or wildlife's right to exist epitomises the saying 'never give up'.
Our Southern Africa trip has enabled to see us contrasting landscapes, peoples and, well, local beer.
I have imagined so many ways to describe our experiences here but its just not possible to choose one theme. So, I've decided to keep my thoughts in my beautiful diary that my lovely girlfriends have given me and post some pictures instead. I've tried so carefully to minimise them (esp all the animal pics!). Be patient, it's gonna take me a bit of time...
